Woman Killed In Route 87 Crash Identified
A woman killed in a head-on crash Monday has been identified as Marily H. Myers, 50, of 54 Thrall Road, in Vernon. State police said today that Myers was pronounced dead at Windham Hospital at 4:25 p.m. Monday following the crash, which occurred about an hour earlier on Route 87 in Lebanon. Myers was a passenger in the back seat of a Subaru Legacy traveling north on Route 87 when a southbound Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Donald Ayrton, 75, of 128 Long Hill Road in Andover, crossed into the northbound lane for an unknown reason, police said. The Subaru, driven by Donald A. Booth, 74, of 21 Quail Hollow Close in Vernon, crossed into the southbound lane to avoid being struck, then the Dodge crossed back into the southbound lane and struck the Subaru head-on, police said.
