South Glastonbury Residents Concerned About Housing Plan

"This town sure ain't what it used to be"

A proposal to develop some of the last remaining farmland in the South Glastonbury village district had residents crowding town council chambers Tuesday with many lamenting the potential loss of agricultural land to houses.

Local developer David Kuzmak has proposed building 15 duplexes and five single-family homes on a 10-acre parcel just north of South Glastonbury center. The parcel, known as the Tryon Farm, has been home to a seasonal farm and farm stand for the past few years. The town council and plan and zoning commission held a public hearing on the informal plan. Read more
