Avon to Host Marching Band Contest
On September 27, 2008, the Avon Marching Black and Gold will be hosting the Avon Invitational marching band competition. This day long competition features over 20 of the finest high school marching bands from around the state of Indiana. The annual event, which is being sponsored by Meijer for the 7th year, brings thousands of kids, parents, and fans to Avon High School and the town of Avon. The event will include an exhibition performance by the 7 time state champion Avon Marching Black and Gold. The competition starts at the Avon High School stadium at 10:00am.
