Eastern Shore fog forces four school system delays

Four schools systems on Maryland's Eastern Shore are opening late this morning because of dense fog that is shrouding the region.

Schools in Caroline, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties are running 90 minutes late and schools in Kent County will open one hour late.

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. for much of the Eastern Shore and central and southern Maryland.

'Visibility remains as low as one-quarter mile,' the weather service said in a statement. 'Motorists are urged to allow extra time when driving.' Read more
