PPL draws the line, lures a crowd
Sandy Rapach's backyard is a place where her animals live and her grandchildren play. So she was not happy to get a letter from PPL Corp. a few weeks ago indicating that a high-voltage power line might soon run through it. ''I don't know what they're going to do. I'm trying to find out right now,'' the Zion Grove resident said Tuesday evening as she stood before a pile of oversize maps detailing the proposed line's routes. ''I have my grandchildren there, and I'm worried about the environment.''
