John Byron "Buddy" Strait Jr. Published: Thursday, April 23, 2009 6:04 PM CDT BOERNE, Texas - John Byron "Buddy" Strait Jr., 58, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009. Born in Poteet, Texas, on May 27, 1950, he was the son of John B. Strait Sr. and Doris Couser Strait. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pearsall, Texas. He was preceded in death by his niece, Jenifer Strait. Buddy is survived by his wife, Denise Strait; his father, John B. Strait Sr. and his wife, Anna; mother, Doris Leiber; children, Kara Silva and her husband, John, John B. "Trey" Strait III, and Walker Strait; grandchildren, Kailey Silva, Niessa Silva, and Avery Silva; brother, George Strait and his wife, Norma; sister, Pency Edel and her husband, Lea; nephew, George Harvey Strait Jr.; and nieces, Lana Williams and Ashley Poland. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 12, at Vaughan's Funeral Home in Boerne, Texas. Graveside services were held on Monday, April 13, at the Big Wells Cemetery. Alice's "Buddy" Strait George Strait's Brother Found Dead In SA
SAN ANTONIO - Bexar County deputies are investigating the death of a person in the Northwest part of the county. The dead man was identified as John "Buddy" Strait, Jr., brother of the popular Country and Western singer George Strait. At this time, the 58-year-old Strait's death appears to be natural. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause.

Christus Spohn Alice staff found a spiral fracture to the girls left leg, possible human bite marks to her body, old and fresh bruises, finger-like marks to her jaw and bruising to both eyes.
