BOW WOW WOBBERS HIT HELEN WOODWARD ANIMAL CENTER
In the wee hours of Sunday, Jan. 5 and Monday, Jan. 6, burglars broke through a glass door at Woodward Center on El Apajo Road, rooted around, set off three alarms over five hours and nevertheless absconded with $600 in cash and some checks from a locked box at the pet supply office, Woodward officials said. It was the second break-in in two months, officials said. Nobody has been arrested in the case. "The cash is gone," said Mike Arms, Woodward president in a written statement. "Nothing we can do about that. It's obvious that the people who did this have no concern for any of the people and animals we serve. They don't care how it affects others who have greater needs. This is about their greed." For more local stories see http://www.92067freepress.com
