Schuck will not be first city police chief in family
The Kasson City Council approved Sergeant Ken Schuck as interim police chief to take the place of Dave Johnson who will be retiring at the end of June. Ken is not the first member of his family to serve in this position. While doing some family background research it was discovered his great-great grandfather was the first "village constable" in Kasson back in 1870. The position has obviously skipped a few generations, but Schuck welcomes the new challenges that come with being chief of police. He expects the promotion to be a smooth transition and looks forward to the opportunity to serve the people of Kasson.
