NY couple slain in Mumbai to be buried in Israel

A relative says the New York couple gunned down in India will be flown to Israel and likely buried Monday.

Twenty-nine-year-old Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his 28-year-old wife, Rivkah, were members of the New York-based Chabad-Lubavitch ultra-orthodox Jewish sect. The pair ran a Jewish outreach center in Mumbai, India.

Three other victims killed at the Chabad house have been identified: Bentzion Chroman, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen; Rabbi Leibish Teitelbaum, a U.S. citizen and New Yorker who lived in Jerusalem, and an Israeli tourist, Yocheved Orpaz.

'By the time we've completed the tender process and appointed someone to do the mine clearance, it will probably be this time next year before they could start,' Duncan told The Associated Press.

The New York state Consumer Protection Board warns consumers to be wary about providing personal information when shopping online this holiday season.

Nielson Online, a consumer research company, says online holiday shopping will spike this year because it allows consumers to comparison shop and save money on gas.

But Mindy Bockstein, executive director of the state consumer board, is urging New Yorkers to only give out only essential personal information and credit card numbers to reputable dealers to avoid identity theft.
